21 Bottle Dual Temperature Zone Wine Cooler Review

I was skeptical about buying a wine cooler site unseen but after comparing prices with those available at stores, this was kinda of a no-brainer. Package arrived quick and intact, thanks Amazon! I was mildly stunned when I opened the unit. I was not quite expecting something that looked as sharp as what I received. Love the stainless steel racks and handle, extremely sophisticated appearance. Not only was this considerably cheaper than than the in store models but this looked twice as good. I put the pieces together and got it running in no time.
It ran silent as one would expect for a thermoelectric and cooled down decently. Temperatures were spot on too. I was tempted to install this in cabinet but realized that the vents would require some clearance. Not a big deal as this looks great on it's own. The shelves are designed for the standard 750ml bottle but are completely removable so I can mix and match to store whatever size bottles I need to.
This far outweighed my expectations in almost all aspects. AAA+++!

Danby DBC120BLS Beverage Center Review

Unit arrived undamaged and worked right out of the box. Door was assembled a bit crooked and overall quality is mediocre but looks good from a distance. Have had it about 5 weeks now and it is doing its job- drinks stay sufficiently cold, good capacity, internal fan helps a lot (main reason I bought it) and is quiet enough in my family room adjacent to my home theater setup. Stopped working once for some unknown reason (maybe got a bit hot as I have it installed in a tight cabinet space- IFU clearly says it is designed to be free-standing) but after unplugging and letting it sit for 30 mins, it started up again and has been fine ever since. I check the external cabinet temp regularly and while it does get quite warm to the touch, it seems to be okay installed as is. A good idea is to keep it out first time it cools down your drinks (it will work quite hard doing this), then when the compressor cycles off (ie- it has reached its set temp), you can push it back in. Overall it seems to be a good deal for the price.

These wine coolers work great at our winery, Plum Hill Vineyards. The inserts last all day. I will use them for the tasting wines as well as for customers who buy a bottle of white and want to keep it cool while they are hanging out, enjoying the views and music. I purchased an Igloo refrigerator and within a few weeks it completely stopped working. Curtis International (Igloo's parent company) has terrible customer service and will not honor customer warranties. After a year of trying to ge this resolved, I have found out that they have an unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau and have many of these types of complaints. I purchased my original Private Reserve Wine Cellar, Model CWC-1200, in November, 2007 through Amazon.com.
I was having persistent condensation problems with the unit, so I returned it under warranty and received a new unit just a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I am having the same problem with the new unit. The plastic tray at the bottom of the unit fills up with water within a couple of days. I have the unit in an air conditioned room. I can't believe I am the only person having this problem, although Cuisinart would have me believe that.

A nice alternative to expensive, full-size wine cellars, this elegant countertop unit beautifully displays up to 12 bottles of wine and champagnes. Three removable chrome racks are designed to hold 750 ml bottles, while the unit's soft interior lighting includes a permanent "on" option for showcasing the collection. The cellar's patented temperature control with eight presets ensures that different varieties are kept at proper storing or serving temperatures. By using thermoelectric, compressor-less cooling technology, the appliance offers a lightweight, easy-to-carry design and can chill without noise or vibration.
