Ravi Solution Instant Wine Chiller Review

Pros:
-Easy to Use: Although there are quite a few pieces that make up the Ravi Solution, it is actually very easy to use.
-Effective: Instantly drops the temperature of any wine by 10F-15F bringing it to a more enjoyable drinking temperature.
-Versatile: Useful in the summer months when red wines at room temperature approach 80F (to bring them down to the mid-60s) -or- if you have a single temperature wine refrigerator set at 55F to drop the temperature down to around 45F.
Cons:
-A little pricey: This is definitely a convenience item and similar results can be attained with a little time in the fridge. However, I've found it quite useful and I'm glad I own one.

Ravi Solution Instant Wine Chiller Overview

A simple, efficient, instant, and easily portable wine cooler, the Ravi does away with the need for ice buckets or refrigeration. Simply insert the Ravi into the bottle neck as you would a cork, and pour. The wine is chilled instantly as it passes through an inner, frozen stainless-steel tube. No time or energy is wasted since it's not the bottle that is cooled, but the wine itself. The more time wine spends in the Ravi, the colder it gets. Since not all wines are enjoyed at the same temperature, Ravi has a valve that controls the rate of flow of wine in order to regulate the temperature.
The internal tube of the Ravi is made from the same stainless steel used for wine fermentation tanks. The tube maintains the wine's characteristics and never alters the taste. Made in Canada, the Ravi was born from two years of work with oenologists, designers, and other wine-making specialists. Store the Ravi in the freezer when not in use. It will be efficient for an entire bottle of red wine and stay efficient for 90 minutes once out of freezer. The Ravi requires hand washing for care.
