I love fresh herbs but over the winter buy them (at high prices) at the grocery store and then HATE it when they go bad in days. With the Herb Savor, I've kept basil for more than two weeks and I've put basil and mint together with no cross flavoring. Fresh mint lasts a month.
The Herb Savor is easy to clean and use. In fact, I'm buying one for my mom for Mother's Day. I may get one for my sister while I'm at it. I had heard about this product but it actualy exceeded my expectations. It paid for itself with the first four batches of herbs that didn't go bad before I could use them.

Prepara Herb Savor Overview

The Prepara Herb Savor will prolong the life of your fresh herbs for up to 3 weeks so you can enjoy fresh, flavorful meals every time you cook. Perfectly sized for fitting inside a typical refrigerator door, the Herb Savor keeps the ends of the herb stems in water, yet keeps the rest of the leaves cool and dry and not packed tightly together as they can be in a bag. The Herb Savor features an easily refillable water well base and removable stainless steel herb basket that keeps herbs neatly gathered together and allows for easy washing. It works with all kinds of herbs--from softer, leafy varieties like parsley and cilantro to woody-stemmed herbs like rosemary and thyme--as well as asparagus. It measures 7-1/4 by 2-1/2 by 11-1/2 inches (WxDxH).
