Kalorik WCL-19241 Dual-Zone Wine Cooler with Wireless Wine-Temperature Sensors Review

Yes, it is beautiful and is a very attractive gadget for a wine (and tech) lover. But it doesn't work.
It may take it more then 8 hours to cool a wine bottle to its perfect drinking temperature. To wait for such a long time, i'd rather buy a cave. In fact, i do have a refrigerated cave, but sometimes the wine i want to drink is kept outside it, and i need a way to cool it faster then the cave is able to. For such purposes, this gadget is a complete disaster.

Kalorik WCL-19241 Dual-Zone Wine Cooler with Wireless Wine-Temperature Sensors Overview

Unlike most wine chillers that maintain an optimal storage temperature, this dual-zone wine cooler keeps up to two bottles of wine at the perfect serving temperature. The appliance comes pre-programmed with suggested serving temperatures for reds (63 degrees F), roses (55 degrees F), whites (50 degrees F), and champagnes (48 degrees F), as well as manual mode, which allows for modifying these settings to suit personal preferences. To use, insert any wine bottle up to 3-1/2 inches wide, push the "power" button, press the "wine type" button until the correct setting appears on the screen, then turn on the wireless temperature probe and insert it into the uncorked bottle. The wine cooler can accommodate up to two bottles at a time, and it provides two temperature probes that insert easily into wine bottles, sealing the spouts while sending accurate temperature readings of the wine to the main unit. Each chamber can be programmed to different temperatures, making it possible to chill just one bottle or a bottle of red and a bottle of champagne simultaneously. An LED indicator will signal once the wine has reached the preset temperature. Other highlights include a built-in microprocessor, temperature readings displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius, and a small footprint that takes up less than a square foot of counter space. Two replaceable CR2032 batteries come included for the temperature probes. The 96-watt wine cooler measures 10 by 12 by 11 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
