Jospeh Jospeh blue Magnetic Measuring Spoon Review

I should start out by saying that I've always been impressed by Joseph Joseph products. I received this spoon as a gift a few months ago. It's plastic, but feels very sturdy. The color is nice and bright. The magnets work well- I have attached it to my refrigerator as well as a variety of metal surfaces throughout the apartment, including a lamp. One nice feature is the half-way mark on each cup, so you can also easily measure half-tablespoons or half-teaspoons as needed. It washes up very nicely by hand. I don't have a dishwasher, but it certainly seems like it would be fine in one.
The spoon's one con is the little arc in the middle. The loop helps you remove it from flat surfaces, but is slightly cumbersome when you are actually measuring and pouring. I didn't find it all that annoying, but I noticed it. Depending on where you want to store it, it is still worth buying just for the convenience.
Admittedly, I mostly used it to measure out medicine (like cough syrup). It was really convenient for that purpose, as I could just carry it around and stick it wherever I put the medicine (like a desk or a nightstand). Even if I already had a set of measuring spoons for cooking, it might have been worth buying just to use with the medicine, since it can make several different measurements and there isn't a chance of contaminating my food afterwards. I consider it a useful thing to own.
